WE WILL BE ASKING FOR A MINIMUM £15 DONATION PER TICKET. Payable week before or on the day of the event.
Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the connection between our sense of smell, the plant world, and our other senses. Led by Fifth Sense volunteer Sarah Garrod, we’ll forage for plants, make observations, and create a unique plant print using cynotype to take home. (The cyanotype is a slow-reacting, photographic printing formulation sensitive to a limited near ultraviolet and bluelight spectrum.)
We’ll also discuss how all our senses - especially smell and taste - shape our experience of outdoor spaces and wildlife, reflecting on what nature means to each of us.
This inclusive session is designed for everyone, whether or not you have a smell or taste disorder.
*This session is for over 16s only
*You’re welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden after the session - a chance to relax, connect with fellow participants, and create space for those with a smell or taste disorder to share experiences and support one another.
*Please note that the garden is accessible, but the (composting) toilet is not.
